Remote Learning

Remote Learning should not be viewed as an equal alternative to attendance in school. For this reason, the service is only used in exceptional circumstances when the only alternative would be no education at all. The use of remote learning will only be provided on an individual basis after consultation with parents or carers.

There are two main situations in which remote education may be necessary:

  1. School closures or restrictions on attendance, which limit student access to the school, such as adverse weather conditions.
  2. Individual cases where a student is unable to attend school in person but is still able to participate in learning remotely.

Remote learning will be offered through various formats, including via email, Microsoft Teams, and paper-based materials. The delivery of remote learning will be dependent on the subject being taught and the circumstances of the student receiving it.
