Fundraising Fair Raises £280 for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice

During the final week of the half term, members of the Student Parliament and our House Captains organised and ran a fantastic fundraising fair, offering a variety of activities for students to enjoy. From lucky dips and a tombola to bake sales and fizzy drinks, there was something for everyone, and it was wonderful to see so many students getting involved.
The event was held in support of our chosen charity, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice. Based in Huddersfield, this remarkable charity provides end-of-life care and respite support for families with children who are living with life-limiting conditions. The hospice relies heavily on charitable donations and receives only a small amount of government funding, so community fundraising efforts such as ours are incredibly important.
Supervising the students was Maths teacher, Mr Geary, who told us: “We are delighted to share that, as a school, we have raised an impressive £280 so far. Our goal is to reach £500 by the end of the academic year, and we look forward to continuing our fundraising efforts in the coming months.”
A huge well done to our Student Parliament and House Captains for organising such a successful event, and an even bigger thank you to all the students who donated and took part.
