Introducing our Head Students
We are delighted to introduce you to Thornhill Community Academy's Head Students for the 2024-25 academic year.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of our new Head Students, Reyhan Shakeel and Amelia Sayeed. Their selection was the result of a rigorous process that included making speeches, a student and staff vote, and a final interview with Headteacher, Mr Burton.
Our Head Students are selected for their exceptional personal skills and ability to serve as senior student leaders at the Academy. They have a vital role in leading the student parliament and act as a crucial link between students and the staff.
Deputies Liam Neal and Kitty Babenko, both highly respected students, were elected to support our head students. They were appointed to their roles to provide valuable support to their peers and contribute to leading the team of Academy prefects.
Twenty-one students were selected to become prefects from years 8 to 11. Together, they support the Head Students with activities and events at the Academy and serve on the student parliament, giving a voice to their peers.
Congratulations to all those students appointed to serve on the Academy's student parliament for their achievements.
