Member of staff takes on church role
We are very pleased to announce that Mr Naylor, our Learning Resources Manager has been ordained in ministry for The Church of England.
After five years of academic study and placement in a range of ministry practices Mr Naylor was welcomed into his exciting role at a packed service in Ripon Cathedral on Saturday 29th June, led by the Anglican Bishop of Leeds, the Rt Revd Nick Baines.
Mr Naylor will serve as assistant curate in the benefice of Ravensthorpe and Thornhill Lees with Savile Town, Dewsbury. As a Reverend he will be now known as Fr. Naylor to his congregation. He has been training part-time for ordination at St Hild College, Mirfield, where he studied for a higher education certificate in Theology, Ministry and Mission.
As an academy we are extremely proud of what he has achieved on his personal and religious journey to get to this point.
Well done Mr Naylor!
