The competition was judged by staff at the company, where many designs from Primary and Secondary schools across Kirklees and Calderdale were entered. 

Competition entries from the Academy were organised by Art teacher, Mrs Shires-Haigh.  She was delighted to hear that one of her students had submitted the winning design and told us: “A huge congratulations Poppy, well done!”

Poppy’s winning design has been used to create the official Stafflex Christmas card of 2023, which will be posted around the world to their clients.

Kayleigh Cross of Stafflex visited the Academy where she presented Poppy with copies of the Christmas card and a gift voucher.

Poppy told us: “I am very happy to have won the competition, and I am really pleased to see my design in print. I think the card looks amazing.”

We are delighted by Poppy’s success and grateful that her prize-winning entry has scooped £100.00 worth of art supplies for the Academy’s Art department.
