Home Learning

Home learning is an important part of helping students make progress. Regular practice helps students remember what they have learned, develop independent learning habits and prepare for assessments and examinations.

Key Stage 3 – Years 7, 8 and 9

Home learning will be set for most subjects every two weeks.

Key Stage 4 – Years 10 and 11

Home learning will be set regularly for all GCSE subjects to support recall, practice and exam preparation.

All home learning is now set through Arbor. Parents and carers can use the Arbor Parent Portal or App to view assignments, deadlines and instructions. Students can access and submit work through the Arbor Student Portal or App.

Some subjects also use online platforms such as Seneca and SparxMaths.

Students are expected to complete home learning to the same standard as classwork and meet deadlines. Parents and carers can support by checking Arbor and encouraging a regular routine.

For queries about a specific task, please contact your child's classroom teacher in the first instance.
