Students from Years 9 and 10 Embark on Unforgettable Trip to Paris

Students in Years 9 and 10 recently had the incredible opportunity to visit Paris, thanks to an expertly organised trip led by Mrs Hollins, Head of Languages. The visit was designed not only to immerse students in French culture but also to encourage them to practise speaking French in real-life situations.
During their time in Paris, the students experienced a variety of enriching activities:
Vimy Ridge: Pupils explored this historic First World War battlefield site, including underground tunnels, trenches, and No Man’s Land, gaining a deep understanding of the past.
Bateau Mouche Cruise: The group enjoyed a scenic boat cruise along the Seine, taking in famous landmarks such as Notre Dame Cathedral from the water.
Eiffel Tower: No trip to Paris is complete without visiting this iconic monument. The students were inspired by the views and atmosphere.
Disneyland Paris: A fun-filled day brought the group together with rides, shows, and entertainment.
Sweet Factory Visit: On the journey home, students stopped to see how sweets are made, adding a tasty end to their adventure.
Throughout the trip, the students were a credit to the Academy, demonstrating fantastic behaviour, growing independence, and developing confidence. They also improved their teamwork skills and learned to manage a budget effectively.
The students thoroughly enjoyed this unforgettable experience and are grateful to Mrs Hollins for organising such a memorable and valuable trip.
