Luke Ambler, former international rugby league player, visited the Academy where he ran a series of workshops for students to help them cope with exam stress.
Students from Years 10 and 11 took part in workshops where they were challenged to consider various approaches to dealing with stressful situations with the aim that techniques learned will help them better cope with the pressures of examinations.
Deputy Head Girl, Joveriya Razvi, told us: “I really enjoyed attending the workshop.”
“Luke’s talk was extremely motivating and taught us to focus in a positive way on all of the things that we can do whilst finding ways to overcome barriers in our lives.”
The visit was organised Ms Keen who manages the Bridge, an alternative curriculum provision for students in Years 9 to 11, where Luke also ran a workshop for students.
