Thornhill Community Academy is once again offering HABC Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work training. The next course takes place on Monday 23rd October from 9am-3.30pm.
Successfully completing the HABC Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work will enable the candidate to act as a first aider in the workplace.
The content of the course will include; incident management, dealing with shock, treating an unconscious casualty, CPR and other minor injuries.
This qualification is a one-day (6 hour) training course, assessed via practical demonstration, assignment and oral questioning. The course will be administered by accredited First Aid Trainer and Academy Welfare Officer, Amanda Griffiths.
The course will cost only £35 and will have a maximum of 10 candidates to ensure training can be specially tailored to meet individual needs. Upon completion candidates will be awarded with an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate, which is valid for three years and a First Aid Handbook.
